Starbucks employee fired for posting YouTube video

"The Starbucks Rant Song" goes viral, finds employee out of a job

A Starbucks employee has been fired for posting a video on YouTube that pokes fun at his employers and customers of the coffee chain.

The Boston Herald reported that 25 year old employee Christopher Cristwell posted the video in July, but that it went viral this month and caught management's attention when it hit more than 110,000 viewers.

A Starbuck spokesperson, Alan Hilowitz, said the actions of the employee were unacceptable.

“While Christopher was expressing his own views in the video, the disparaging remarks about our customers and company are unacceptable and out of line with our commitment to our customers and partners,” he told the Herald.
