US ATTACK: Tech exec death toll continues to grow

The list of information technology executives who fell victim to Tuesday's attacks grows as airlines make public the passenger manifests from the four planes that were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania countryside.

According to American Airlines, the partial list of passengers on flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles that crashed into one of the World Trade Towers included David Kovalcin, 42, a resident of Hudson, New Hampshire, and senior mechanical engineer with Raytheon's Electronic Systems division. Another Raytheon employee, Kenneth Waldie, 46, of Methuen, Massachusetts, was on board as well. He also worked in the Electronic Systems division, as a senior quality control engineer.

That flight also carried Peter Gay, 54, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, who was a vice president of operations for Raytheon's Electronic Systems, as previously reported.

Yet another Raytheon employee, Stanley Hall, was on American Airlines' flight 77 from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles, which crashed into the Pentagon. Hall, director of program management based in Arlington, Virginia, was 68 and lived in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Raytheon officials confirmed that the company lost four employees in the attacks.

According to American Airlines, that plane also carried Suzanne Calley. The Associated Press reported that Calley, 42, of San Martin, California, was an employee of Cisco Systems Inc. Cisco officials did not immediately return calls seeking confirmation.

American Airlines notes on its Web site that it has not released the names of victims whose families have requested that the information remain confidential.

Separately, a BEA Systems Inc. spokeswoman confirmed that Edward Felt, one of the company's engineers, was also a victim. Based in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, Felt was on United flight 93 that departed Newark, New Jersey for San Francisco and crashed in southwest Pennsylvania. The spokeswoman could not confirm that Felt was the only BEA employee to perish in the attacks.
