Australian software vendor TechnologyOne has appointed former NetSuite employee, Ken Bartlett, as general manager for its new enterprise Cloud platform.
Bartlett, who was formerly NetSuite’s director of sales, will head up the new Cloud division over the next five years across the Australia and New Zealand region.
TechnologyOne chairman and founder, Adrian Di Marco, said the appointment was a result of the company’s new Cloud agenda, which includes a $200 million research and development investment over the next five years.
“We are restructuring our business model and transforming the way software will be delivered,” he said in a statement.
“Ken brings significant experience in the Cloud and will be responsible for building TechnologyOne’s position.”
Bartlett also previously held senior positions at Boeing, Fujitsu and Corpnet.
The TechnologyOne Cloud, launched in February, was the result of 18 months of R&D and is run solely through an internet browser using Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
The new platform also means the company will issue no more software releases and upgrades. Instead, they will be accessed as applications via an enterprise app store.
