Macquarie Telecom to provide NBN to its customers

The telco has received NBN Co on-boarding certification

Macquarie Telecom has received certification to offer the National Broadband Network (NBN) to its customers.

The telco has successfully completed the NBN Co on-boarding certification program which will allow it to utilise the NBN’s bandwidth and increased connectivity.

“Macquarie Telecom recognises that business customers need more than just a fast broadband access network,” said Christopher Greig, group executive for the telecom business of Macquarie Telecom.

“When coupled with hosting and telecom services, access to the NBN will stimulate the uptake of new applications; facilitate the deployment of devices; and open up new opportunities for our customers.”

The on-boarding process includes a qualification program to provide technical and operational information on connecting to the NBN; signing a wholesale broadband agreement with NBN Co; working with NBN Co on the provider’s solution; completing interoperability certification testing; and completing a business readiness test.
