Telstra signs major shipping business contract

Telstra Global's systems will be rolled out in Asia, Europe and Australia

Telstra Global has signed a major contract with Braemar Shipping Services to provide a fully managed multi-protocol Label Switching Network (MPLS) solution.

Telstra Global will provide a consolidated service to support the rollout of several new network applications for the marine and energy services business in Asia, Europe and Australia.

The rollout is expected to be implemented over the next six months.

“Working with Telstra Global now means we are able to streamline our operations and reap the benefits of increased efficiency and reduced costs which come as a result of the quality of network services it provides and the partnership with one reliable vendor,” James Kidwell, Braemar CEO, said in a statement.
