The Australian Government Information Management Office has announced that eight suppliers have been added to the federal government's Data-Centre-as-Service Multi-User List (DCaaS MUL), allowing them to offer cloud services to agencies.
Converga, Coretec Solutions, Fuse Information Technologies, Mastersoft, MBITS, NEC IT Service Australia, Ninefold and REMASYS have joined the panel, AGIMO announced today
Contracts through the DCaaS MUL are limited to $80,000 with terms of up to 12 months.
State, territory and federal agencies can use public cloud services to address website needs, ICT and development projects.
In October 2012, the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) announced that it had selected 35 suppliers to provide cloud services to multiple government agencies as part of a wider data centre strategy.
The cloud services available through the DCaas MUL include software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offerings. They cover virtual desktops and servers, disaster recovery and managed backups, e-tending packages and online collaboration tools.
