KAZ picks up Arthur Andersen client

KAZ Computer Services has won a deal with Arthur Andersen's Melbourne office through which it will house the property management accounting system of Andersen's client Colliers Jardine. Colliers Jardine first approached Arthur Andersen when it wanted to centralise five state databases into a single centralised system. Deciding it was not interested in hosing the system, Arthur Andersen sought out an outsourcing partner.

"Arthur Andersen is focused on service delivery and our expertise lies in the implementation and operation of finance, payroll and HR shared services. We are not interested in the back-end systems infrastructure so we required a partner to provide that part of the process for us," explained Gary Anderson, partner responsible for business risk consulting. "We are also aggressively expanding our business process outsourcing for payroll and human resources and through our ASP relationship with KAZ feel confident we can make a quantum improvement in finance and accounting practices."

The contract is a considerable feather in the cap for KAZ, which recently made a solid entry into the Victorian market when it picked up three outsourcing clients: North Forest Products, Revenue Clearing House and Blockbuster Video.
