Pracom buys KLM Group for $6.25m

Melbourne-based cabling specialist Pracom continues on the acquisitions trail, announcing yesterday that it has purchased voice and data network specialist KLM Group for $6.25 million.

Pracom's business is mainly focused on wiring homes and it has contracts with both Optus and Telstra.

According to David Paranthoiene, joint managing director, Pracom, KLM Group provides Pracom with a strong position in the corporate voice and data networking market. He believes KLM's business will add $20 million to Pracom's revenues this financial year.

This latest aquisition follows close on the heels of Pracom's decision to acquire prepaid calling card and prepaid mobile phone technology specialist Unidial, in a deal worth $15.8 million and announced ten days ago.

According to Paranthoiene, the company is looking for further acquisitions, whereby it can help Pracom take advantage of growth in the telecomms sector.
