Vocus launches Cloud Connect

Service links customers to Amazon Web Services in Sydney

Vocus Communications (ASX: VOC) has begun offering a service called Cloud Connect which connects customers to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Sydney.

According to Vocus CEO James Spenceley, demand for cloud services continues to grow as more organisations take advantage of the economics and flexibility offered.

“With Cloud Connect, companies are assured that their data is travelling quickly through a private network into the AWS cloud with robust service level agreements in place,” he said in a statement.

“It’s direct, fast, secure and carried on our own optical fibre network.”

Vocus customers can choose network speeds ranging from 50 megabits per second up to 10 gigabits per second. They can also use a dedicated physical port or a virtual port.

Customers who may experience data volume spikes can go above their committed network speed as required.
