Davidson Recruitment acquires ITCOM

Merger will lead to an annual turnover of $100 million, says MD Bruce Davidson

Brisbane-based Davidson Recruitment has acquired technology recruitment firm ITCOM for an undisclosed sum as the company looks to expand its Australian operations.

According to Davidson Recruitment managing director Bruce Davidson, the acquisition will lead to an annual turnover of $100 million.

“A main part of our long-term business strategy involves the identification of, and engagement with, entrepreneurs in the human resources [HR] and recruitment space,” Davidson said in a statement.

Davidson Recruitment was established in 1991 and has offices in Brisbane and New Zealand. Meanwhile, ITCOM began in 1994 and has offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

ITCOM CEO Damien Ross said that despite the acquisition, it will be business as usual. “We will remain ITCOM and operate as part of the Davidson Group," he said in a statement.

“The leadership team includes myself and Gary Lorden in Melbourne while Owen Jones will be in charge in Sydney. Aaron Thomas will head up Brisbane while Noel Hassapladakis will be in charge in New Zealand."

Ross added that he was responding to the demand from clients to expand its footprint and offer an “international technology recruitment” service.
