Optus bags Suncorp IT service management deal

Suncorp to transition core ICT services across to the telco over the next two years

Optus will supply end-to-end ICT services to financial services firm, Suncorp Group Limited, under a seven-year deal announced on Wednesday.

The contract will see Suncorp transition its ICT services – including voice, contact centre, data networks, and transaction services – to Optus over the next two years.

John Paitaridis, managing director at Optus Business, said in a statement that Optus will manage Suncorp’s mission critical network services and ICT environment to provide optimal efficiency and performance.

He said this will enable Suncorp to focus on customer experience advancements and drive strategy, innovation and business growth.

Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
