AGL's CFO to lead tech at energy company

Brett Redman to lead finance and technology group

AGL's current CFO, Brett Redman, will lead the energy company's newly created finance and technology group.

The company in April announced a restructure that saw the separate information systems group folded into a function within the finance and technology unit.

AGL said at the time that current executives were invited to consider roles in the new structure.

IT business partnering, technology services, business analytics, and IT strategy and architecture now sit within an information technology function reporting to Redman.

The restructure led to the departure of chief information officer Owen Coppage.

Coppage took up the CIO role in 2007.

Along with finance and technology, AGL business units now comprise energy market operations, new energy, stakeholder relations, group operations, organisational transformation, and people and culture.

Digital and customer experience report to executive general manager, energy market operations; AGL announced today that that role will be taken by Stephen Mikkelsen, who prior to the restructure held the same title.

Previously along with the information systems group led by Coppage, business units comprised corporate affairs, corporate support services, group finance, group strategy, merchant energy, people and culture, retail energy, and upstream gas.
