Former Colt Technology Services head of IT Daryl Dunbar has been hired as Digital Realty’s Asia Pacific managing director.

Based in Singapore, he takes over from Europe managing director Bernard Geoghegan who was handling APAC, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Geoghegan had been dividing his time between London and Singapore since September 2014 after former APAC regional head Kris Kumar resigned for personal reasons.

According to Digital Realty COO Jarrett Appleby, the hire was necessitated by a growing client portfolio in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

“We are pleased to welcome Daryl to the Digital Realty team and look forward to strengthening our presence in the region under his leadership,” he said in a statement.
