US-based endpoint security company Tanium is hiring seven staff in Australia as part of an operations expansion push.
The vendor has already appointed Sydney-based Geoff Noble as vice president to build the Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong markets. Noble was previously CipherCloud’s Asia Pacific regional director.
He told Computerworld Australia that it was looking to appoint sales and technical account managers in Sydney, Melbourne and possibly Canberra by the end of 2015.
Noble is operating out of a shared office in Sydney.
“PwC have a technology innovations place in Melbourne so I’m looking at using that. I have no business plans to take on real estate,” he said.
In addition, Tanium has hired vice president Robert Stevenson to run Japan.
The vendor is looking to offer its end point security services to companies on the Forbes Global 2000 list. According to Tanium, there are almost 700 companies on the list in Asia, with Japan ranking third overall.
