APA Group completes data centre refresh

Three facilities replaced with two data centres in an active-active configuration

Natural gas infrastructure company APA Group (ASX: APA) has replaced three aging data centres with two facilities and an active-active infrastructure platform.

The project, which was managed by CGI, forms part of an overall IT modernisation program.

According to APA manager of infrastructure and support Simon Mackay, the standardised platform will increase application availability and flexibility, ensuring “high standards of service and reliability” and supporting future business growth.

“The project has delivered more resilient infrastructure and systems, allowing us to focus on delivering new capabilities to the business,” he said in a statement.

CGI completed the IT infrastructure architecture, design and implementation and will manage the data centres under a three-year services contract.
