Threat Intelligence CEO Ty Miller has been appointed to the Board of the Council of Registered Security Testers (CREST).
He has worked as a CREST assessor since 2012.
According to CREST Australia CEO Greg Rudd, Miller’s understanding of the local cyber security industry and global evolving threat landscape will be an “enormous boost” to the board.
“CREST’s ethical approach to information security testing plays a vital role in supporting industry professionals to differentiate themselves from the broader unregulated testing market,” Miller said in a statement.
The appointment follows that of CBA chief information security and trust officer Ben Heyes who was elected chair of CREST Australia in February.
CREST is in talks with the Business Council of Australia to fill an independent director vacancy.
