ISGM re-signs maintenance agreement with Telstra

10 year contract includes telco customer installations, maintenance services

Infrastructure Services Group Management (ISGM) has re-signed an outsourcing agreement with Telstra (ASX: TLS) which includes management of the telco’s customer installations and maintenance services.

Melbourne-based ISGM provides consulting and subcontracting services. The company has worked with Telstra for the past four years and has been managing subcontractor customer installations and copper wire service maintenance.

According to ISGM CEO Liz Butcher, the new contract underpins Telstra’s confidence in ISGM managing its external workforce to deliver “superior customer service levels.”

She said that ISGM is expanding its subcontractor workforce from 3500 to 4000 people as more opportunities are created to address the current resource shortage in the telco industry.

Telstra customer service delivery executive director Brian Harcourt said it looked forward to improving services for customers in the future.

In other Telstra news, the telco was rated the best performer in the CommsDay and P3 Communications 2015 Mobile Benchmark report. The report measures smartphone voice and data performance based on weeks of testing around Australia. Test metrics included voice call quality, success rates, file upload and download speeds, website access and SD/HD mobile video performance.
