Sydney security startup to join BizSpark Plus program

Company can access Azure cloud services, training and support

Sydney based security startup Dekko Secure has been selected for Microsoft’s BizSpark Plus program, meaning it has access to Azure cloud services in order to scale its business.

The vendor will also provide the startup with Visual Studio and Office programs as well as offering training and support.

Dekko Secure provides email, chat and document storage encryption services. According to general manager Eric Schwantler, its solution can be deployed as a cloud service on the Azure platform or installed on premises.

The BizSpark Plus program is open to companies that work with a startup incubator or accelerator that has partnered with Microsoft.

The vendor has worked with 150 start-up accelerators in 47 countries to deploy the program.

“Start-ups will continue to play a critical role in building a more innovative, diverse Australian economy, which is why we’re focused on providing the support they need most, particularly in the early stages,” said Microsoft director of developer experience and evangelism Sarah Vaughan.

“With cyberattacks growing more frequent and targeted, it is more important than ever for companies such as Dekko to succeed in providing robust business security solutions.”
