In brief: Akamai launches startup program

Australian startups can potentially get a year's worth of Akamai services for free

CDN provider Akamai has launched a program that will provide startups with up to a year's access to its web and mobile performance services for free.

Akamai One targets startups across the Asia Pacific region.

In Australia, Akamai has partnered with incubator BlueChilli for the program.

"Startups need to focus on innovating and bringing their product to market as quickly as possible in order to succeed and continue to secure funding to expand and grow," said Akamai senior vice-president and GM, Asia Pacific and Japan, Sanjay Singh.

"Akamai One helps startups reduce the complexity of delivering high-performing web and mobile experiences with Akamai's proven CDN technologies, thus setting them up for success," Singh said in a statement.

Startups can contact Akamai for eligibility criteria.
