Optus Business and Cisco will jointly invest $12 million over three years to prototype, develop and launch new capabilities in the Australian market, the two companies have announced.
The focus will be on security, cloud computing, the Internet of things, and networking.
“Many of the services and capabilities our economy will need tomorrow don’t exist today,” Optus Business managing director John Paitaridis said in a statement.
“This alliance with Cisco bolsters our commitment to bridge this innovation gap for business and government, to help them navigate a complex and evolving technology landscape.”
The two companies signed a letter of intent at the Cisco Global Partner Summit earlier this month.
