auDA, which administers the .au domain space, is looking for a new CEO after the board decided it would not renew the contract of its founding chief executive Chris Disspain.
auDA said the board ended Disspain’s contract, which was due for renewal later in 2016.
Disspain had been auDA's CEO since 2000.
The auDA board “agreed new leadership was required to take the organisation forward,” a statement from the organisation said.
“The Board acknowledged and thanked Mr. Disspain, as founding CEO of auDA, for the hard work and visionary leadership he has demonstrated throughout his tenure, helping to cement the organisation’s standing as a one of the world’s best practice ccTLD managers,” the statement said.
Jo Lim, the organisation’s chief operations and policy officer, has been appointed acting CEO while auDA searches for a permanent replacement for Disspain.
