SA government signs agreement with server manufacturer

The South Australian government has signed an agreement with Inspur under which it will seek to facilitate the Chinese server manufacturer establishing a presence in the state.

“The information and communications technology sector is key to our state’s economic transformation and this agreement is a positive step towards its further expansion in South Australia,” SA premier Jay Weatherill said.

“Inspur is one of the world leaders in digital data, and they have indicated to us a willingness to establish a presence in South Australia.”

A statement issued by the SA government said the agreement committed it to facilitating Inspur’s establishment of

• Cloud Data Centre Construction
• Cooperation on its Home Server (set top box) Business
• Cooperation on its Big Data Innovation Centre
• Cooperation on its Telecommunications Network Management Business
