KPMG poaches UXC exec for CIO role

Snaffles UXC CIO/CTO Craig Wishart

KPMG Australia has appointed Craig Wishart to the role of chief information officer.

Wishart joins the company from UXC, where he was CIO and CTO.

The new CIO replaces Anthony Stevens, who has been moved to the newly created position of chief digital officer. As CDO, Stevens will lead KPMG’s Digital Services team

“Craig is very well placed to lead our IT Services team, with his extensive experience and cross-industry exposure. He also has significant global expertise and is highly regarded for his cloud platform, security and risk and ICT transformation capabilities,” KPMG Australia’s CFO, Damian Templeton, said in a statement.

“Under Anthony’s leadership, the firm has implemented an unprecedented amount of change and transformed what and how ITS supports the firm. This transformation will now be accelerated under Craig, with technology key to supporting and managing our firm’s growth and development.”

Wishart’s role at KPMG began earlier this month.
