The chief information officer of Aurora Energy quit the company earlier this month, a spokesperson for the electricity retailer has confirmed to Computerworld Australia.
Grant Taylor had been the Aurora CIO for less than six months. “Grant Taylor resigned from his role as CIO effective 2 November 2016,” the spokesperson for the company said.
Taylor joined the utility on 20 June, coming to the company from Medibank. At Medibank he was a business improvement consultant. At Aurora he replaced Mel Lukianenko, who departed the utility in June after just over a year in the CIO role.
“He is a senior leader and management specialist, with a track record of success in creating new organisational capabilities, developing growth strategies, business management and the alignment of technology with customer and business needs,” said a statement issued by Aurora Energy issued shortly after Taylor joined the company.
“He has previously been responsible for the operation and transformation of large, complex IT portfolios, has experience in delivering programs of work across three continents and has run two successful start-up businesses.”
Aurora did not comment about what plans there are, if any, to replace Taylor.
