AMP chief information officer Craig Ryman has a new title and additional responsibilities after a leadership reshuffle at the financial services company.
AMP has added operations to Ryman’s portfolio, with the CIO appointed to the newly created position of group executive, technology and operations. Ryman, who has been at the company for two decades, has held the CIO title for just under two years. In his new role he will report directly to AMP CEO Craig Meller.
AMP’s group executive, operations, Wendy Thorpe, will leave the business in early 2017, having previously advised the company that she intended to retire.
Pauline Blight-Johnston, AMP’s group executive, insurance, super and risk management, and Rob Caprioli, group executive, advice and banking, will also leave as part of the reshuffle.
A statement from the company said that the new group structure “delivers sharper focus on performance in the core Australian businesses, drives efficiency across the group and provides increased emphasis on the growth drivers in the portfolio”.
As part of the changes, Paul Sainsbury will lead a new Wealth Solutions and Customer division, and AMP’s NZ managing director, Jack Regan, will take on responsibility for the company’s advice business.
Sally Bruce will become group executive, AMP Bank; Megan Beer has been appointed group executive, insurance; and chief risk officer Saskia Goedhart has joined the group leadership team.
The changes will take effect from 1 January.
