Integration software provider Viewlocity has its AMTrix application integration product, an integration engine for internal software integration, B2B integration, online trading hubs and supply-chain synchronisation. AMTrix is an end-to-end solution designed to assist all businesses with the transformation to e-business.

Based on neutral, open standards, AMTrix allows integration between different applications, platforms, databases and communication protocols. It supports messaging formats, including EDI and XML, and provides a range of functions to integrate different systems across multiple operating systems, application formats and e-commerce standards.

By capturing and processing business events in real time, AMTrix supports business processes, workflows and associated information flows.

In the case of a trading hub, AMTrix enables real-time information between trading partners, ensuring mission-critical events are managed with a public or private exchange for increased efficiency and productivity.

Oracle's e-business integration solution is based on the Oracle9i platform and includes Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technologies, the Oracle9i Server and Oracle Integration Services.

The Oracle9i platform consists of client software, application servers, databases, integration services, network services, and management and development tools for the development and deployment of e-business applications.

In September, Inprise/Borland announced new enhancements to its cross-platform e-business development environment Borland JBuilder 4.

In the latest version, JBuilder 4 speeds up the time to market by rapidly building e-business applications and deploying them to leading Java 2 Enterprise Edition applications servers.

Combined with the Inprise Applications Server, JBuilder 4 offers support for BEA Systems' Web Logic server, providing enterprise customers with a flexible and scalable end-to-end solution.

BEA Systems

BEA Systems' eLink solution is an end-to-end Enterprise Application Integration solution and B2B e-commerce integration server for rapidly integrating business systems.

Targeted at enterprises, eLink enables businesses to integrate business processes and applications across back and front office systems as well as integrate with other business partners over the Internet.

Additionally, the BEA eLink Integration Server provides transaction support, application connectivity, and business process and data integration options based on BEA's distributed, manageable and scalable e-commerce transaction platform.

Other features of eLink include mainframe adapters and several messaging paradigms, including asynchronous/synchronous, publish/subscribe, and request/response, to meet its customers' range of integration solution requirements.eLink also includes several optional features including the BEA eLink Information Integrator or Data Integration Option, and Business Process Option or Integrator for HP/Changengine. The Information Integrator options provide cost effective alternatives to writing or generating programs that translate diverse data models used by different applications into a common data format.

The Business Process option and Changengine provide tools for defining, and execution engines for running business processes that span applications integrated using BEA eLink.
