KAZ cheques in to banking industry

Australian outsourcing company KAZ Computer Services is on a roll announcing it has signed a significant outsourcing deal with the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). KAZ leveraged the deal through its subsidiary document management outsourcing company Ausdata. KAZ acquired Ausdata in June this year, and at that time expressed interest in the opportunities for expansion into the heritage of document management services for large corporate and government clients. The new deal will see KAZ processing information from up to 100,000 cheques that are sent to the RBA on a daily basis. According to a statement to the press, KAZ won the contract based on "extensive experience in cheque-remittance processing and its ability to turn around large volumes of data on a daily basis". The news of the Australian deal comes hot on the tail of an earlier announcement of a joint venture with the Thai government and the Thai Farmers Bank.
