Called Novell GroupWise Wireless 1.1, the software will be supported by AT&T Wireless Services, Nextel Communications, Sprint PCS, and Verizon Wireless, Provo, Utah-based Novell said in a statement Friday.
The service is free for customers who already use the GroupWise 5.5 Enhancement Pack, and can be downloaded at www.novell.com/download, said Shawn Dickerson, a Novell spokesman.
Users can log into Novell's GroupWise WebAccess client through wireless devices, after which they can use a variety of functions, including address book searches and listing appointments.
