SAP and Telstra join forces online

SAP Asia Pacific and Telstra have announced a strategic alliance to deliver mySAP.com Marketplace, collaborative business scenarios and application hosting services to enterprises in Australia, New Zealand and South Asia. Under the agreement, SAP will provide the inter-enterprise applications through mySAP.com and Telstra will provide infrastructure and connectivity for hosting the mySAP.com Marketplace solutions. SAP and Telstra will also jointly set up a Collaborative Solutions Factory (C-Factory) aimed at developing products and services which combine mySAP.com solutions, Telstra's technologies and services, and third-party technologies for the mySAP.com Marketplace.

Intel invests $403m in Infineon

Intel has announced it will invest $403 million ($US250 million) in German semiconductor company Infineon Technologies. If the deal receives the necessary regulatory and company approvals, Intel and Infineon will jointly produce DRAM (dynamic random access memory) chip products, Intel said. As part of the agreement, Intel will share its road maps, while Infineon will increase its manufacturing capacity for DRAM as well as Direct RDRAM (Rambus DRAM) products, Intel said.

Ecorp strikes wireless alliance

Local Internet operation Ecorp has formed a partnership with Nokia Australia for the delivery of wireless content services. Representing the company's first foray into the emerging wireless space, content from Ecorp affiliates including ninemsn, eBay and Ticketek will be accessible from the Nokia 7110 phone using the Wireless Application Protocol.
