FRAMINGHAM (04/12/2000) - Startup eTime Capital, in Sunnyvale, California, has begun offering an Internet-based service for real-time accounting and reconciliation of commercial transactions as an alternative to paper-based exchanges between trading partners. The service, which costs about $5 per transaction, requires eTime Capital to perform some systems integration work with the trading partners' enterprise resource planning systems so accounting data can be pulled out of back-end systems for Internet-based processing.

Oracle Corp. has made available Advanced Planning and Scheduling software, which lets supply-chain partners arrange product manufacturing and delivery and ensure resources are ready for production. The software, which starts at $30,000, works with the recently released Oracle 11iERP application or can be used as a stand-alone application.

Puma Technology in San Jose is adding software to its soon-to-be-launched mobile Web portal, Intellisync.com. The program, called Mind-it, will let users personalize the information they get from the Web site. Mind-it is from Puma's recent NetMind Technologies acquisition. Handheld users will set up a profile of interests and Mind-it will notify them when any information changes. Puma's flagship Intellisync software will let them synchronize e-mail, calendar and other information between handhelds and servers. The portal will go live this summer.
