BASED IN: Sydney, NSW
BRANCH OFFICES: VIC, Singapore, MalaysiaBRANDS: Pioneer, TEAC, NSM, Alchemy, Finereader, Ricoh, Fujitsu, Canon, Microsoft, Procom, Axis, FreegateWith its 10 years of experience, SCSI says its main strength lies in the fact that it is "a totally solution-oriented value-added distributor" that focuses on three technology groups: scanning, archival and storage or SAS, network attached solutions or NAS and "Internet in a box" solutions. In addition to being a distributor for major brand names in the areas of CD/DVD, networking, recording, archiving, imaging and mass storage technologies, SCSI imports components to build its own product and solutions.
However, according to SCSI's general manager, Robert Ek, CD and DVD technology are the com-pany's major area of specialisation. "There is nothing in this area we don't do," he said.
Emphasising the importance of value add, the Sydney company established its Professional Services Division (PSD) in order to assist resellers in the areas of design, implementation and maintenance of the systems it sells. "No one in Australia can offer better advice on the three groups of products we specialise in, " Ek said. According to the company, that advice is regularly shared with dealers through a variety of training and support programs.
A catalogue of around 2000 products can be accessed through SCSI's award-winning Web site (www.scsi.com.au), which also offers information about SCSI-organised trade shows and seminars, as well as online forms for reseller and product registration, training applications, credit or licence application forms, etc.
