Cyclades opens Sydney office

Hot on the heels of opening a R&D facility in Brisbane last year, data management company Cyclades today opened its new headquarters in Sydney.

The aim is to provide greater support in the region particularly for Australian enterprise customers which include the Department of Workplace Relations, ANZ Bank, BHP Biliton, National Australia Bank and the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA).

Currently, there are six Australian staff but the company plans this figure to reach 15 within three years.

Cyclades specialises in providing an alternative path to remotely detect and correct IT infrastructure problems at data centres and remote branch offices.

The solutions are used by data centres to reduce operational costs and maximise service availability, with its AlterPath out-of-band management platform including console access, KVM, power control and systems management products.

Cyclades Linux-based solutions complement in-band network management tools to ensure total control over the infrastructure even when connectivity to a device is lost.

According to Cyclades CEO and co-founder Daniel Dalarossa, the local market is surging ahead.

As part of its expansion, Cyclades has appointed Leanne Ramsay as regional director Australia and New Zealand. Ramsay, who will be based at the Sydney office, said: “The opportunities in Australia in this market are substantial, it just seems to be an untapped market.”
