Government drops gold

The federal government has developed a new site to provide information about its organizational structure and key people to contact.

At www.directory.gov.au the site is the successor to the current www.gold.gov.au and offers more user-friendly features including the ability to print out information in a report format, officials said.

The new design is part of the government's rebranded Web style, and is managed by the newly-formed Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO).

The new directory also provides improved design to facilitate easier managing, sharing and integration of directory information, greatly increasing the capacity of information public service employees have available about the government.
