Tricerat Software Inc. has unveiled Desktop2001, a Windows thin-client server management product designed to work in Windows 2000 Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 environments. The product is intended to ease application deployments by providing a drag-and-drop interface for configuring user desktop and start menu items. At the same time, Desktop2001 affords additional security. The product's integrated Thorough Operation Restriction technology lets administrators lock down user environments, preventing the unauthorized use of Web applications and e-mail viruses.
