Pitney Bowes Names New CIO

FRAMINGHAM (03/24/2000) - Mail and messaging services giant Pitney Bowes Inc. has named Gregory Buoncontri to its top information technology position, a spokesman said today.

Buoncontri comes to the Stamford, Conn.-based company just as it starts a new ERP initiative and as it gets its online mailing services business off the ground. He replaces retiring vice president and CIO Raymond Perry.

The new CIO comes from Swiss-based Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., where he served as vice president of IT and CIO.
