Internode now more iPad friendly

Internet Service Provider (ISP) Internode is making a play for a piece of the iPad action with its release of microSIMs.
iPad users will able to use the ISP's microSIMs over the Optus 3G network with NodeMobile Data 3G services starting at $14.95 for a monthly 500MB plan.
Its MiFi mobile hotspot – which lets you create a wireless access point for up to five devices from a single 3G service – is now $249 bundled with a 24-month NodeMobile Data service and $349 with no contract.
NodeMobile Data services have a $14.95 entry plan and come at a rate of $24.95 (2GB), $39.95 (4GB), and $49.95 (6GB).
A number of Australian telcos have expressed concern that data download plans being offered with new iPads can be easily rorted. Since microSIMs issued with an iPad can be used in any SIM-capable device with some modifications, there was nothing stopping users from placing the SIM into a modem and using it as a broadband connection for their laptop or another device.
