HTC is one of three mobile phone manufacturers to partner with Microsoft for the launch of Windows Phone 7, the company's new mobile operating system. Exclusive to Telstra, the HTC 7 Mozart comes equipped with a 3.7in SLCD display and an 8-megapixel camera. It is also the only Windows Phone 7 device to feature a Xenon flash.
The HTC 7 Mozart is crafted from a single piece of brushed aluminium; a similar design to the Android-powered HTC Legend and the upcoming HTC Desire HD. Like all HTC phones that run the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the 7 Mozart has HTC Hub, a software portal that provides access to a number of apps including weather, a photo enhancer, a sound enhancer, notes and stocks.
The HTC 7 Mozart is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. It has 8GB of internal memory, 576MB RAM and weighs 130g. Like all Windows Phone 7 devices, it lacks external storage, so there is no microSD card slot for extra memory.
The HTC 7 Mozart records 720p HD video, and has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a G-sensor (gyroscope), ambient light sensor and built-in GPS. It will be available exclusively through Telstra from 21 October for $0 upfront on Telstra's $49 cap plan over 24 months.
