Network encryption company Senetas (ASX:SEN) has chosen a new reseller in Qatar.
The company has appointed systems integrators and professional services consultants EMEA Enterprise Solutions as a reseller of its data protection solutions for the region.
Senetas chief executive and acting chairman, John DuBois, said the deal is significant as Qatar is one of the world's fastest growing economies.
“We took a strategic decision to work with a partner in Qatar, given the developing market and since it is a Mid-East economic role model, exemplified by its Qatar Financial Centre.
He said EMEA had already identified business opportunities for the partners to pursue in the nation, including SaaS secure cloud apps and data security solutions.
Senetas said it is now represented in over 40 countries in Australia, USA, Middle East, Asia and the EU. It serves customers including banks, government, military and law enforcement agencies.
The company last month reported a swing to a 1H loss of $1.5 million, due to losing a major Telstra contract last June.
SEN shares fell 3.85 per cent during Thursday's trading to $0.025.
