Telstra offers Facebook app for pre-paid mobile customers

My Telstra Pre-Paid lets users top-up their mobile account

Telstra has launched a Facebook app that allows its pre-paid mobile phone customers to manage their accounts.

Using the app Telstra pre-paid customers can check their balance and top-up their credit, as well as check the last 180 days of usage. The app also incorporates a feature that allows customers to request their Facebook friends to add credit to their account.

Credit top-ups can be performed with a debit or credit card.

The app can be added to a user's Facebook account via the Telstra 24x7 page.

The telco has also unveiled an Android app for its pre-paid customers that is due to launch "in the coming weeks" through the Google Play app store. The My Pre-Paid Android app can be used to add credit to a pre-paid account using a debit or credit card or a pre-paid voucher. Credit can also be sent to other pre-paid Telstra customers.
