Two Australians take ISACA leadership roles

The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) has appointed two Australian IT professionals to international roles.

Founded in 1969, ISACA develops global standards, frameworks and guidance for enterprises.

Queensland government department of communities, child safety and disability service deputy director-general Tony Hayes was elected as international president.

According to ISACA immediate past president, Greg Grocholkski, Hayes was selected for his work implementing a number of reforms within the department which were enabled by IT investments and “sound governance” practices.

BRM Holdich director of information security and IT assurance, Jo Stewart-Rattray, was appointed ISACA international director.

She is a past international vice president of ISACA and has served as chair of the Association’s leadership development committee and security management committee.
