Vocus Communications (ASX: VOC) has announced revenue of $66.9 million for the financial year 2013, up 47.8 per cent on the previous year.

According to Vocus CEO, James Spenceley, this was achieved through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions in the data centre and fibre markets.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were $22.6 million, a 35.7 per cent increase from the previous year’s $16.7 million.

Net profit after tax (NPAT) was $8.7 million, up 3.5 per cent from $8.4 million.

Vocus increased its fibre network by 110 per cent and data centre capacity by 34 per cent. Fastest growing product revenue segments were fibre and Ethernet (180 per cent) and data centres (67 per cent).

Spenceley said that investment is ongoing but expected to decrease in FY2014.

“Our cash flows are robust and expected to grow as we shift our focus from building infrastructure to leveraging the assets built,” he said in a statement to the ASX.
