Fred Hollows Foundation to move data into secure cloud

The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) plans to migrate information about its Australian donors into a secure cloud, following the signing of a contract with CSC.

FHF will be using the vendor’s BizCloud virtual private enterprise platform to store data such as donors' contact details. The contract also covers application migration and security services.

According to FHF's director of business operations, Ram Neupane, it chose CSC because of its ability to provide end-to-end services including migration of existing applications.

“Most importantly, FHF offices in Asia, Africa and Australia will benefit from the global cloud footprint, including regional data centres and service desk operations,” he said in a statement.

The not-for-profit was founded in Australia in 1992 by eye surgeon Fred Hollows.
