In brief: Canon Australia announces new MD

Former MD Taz Nakamasu promoted to new role at Canon Inc

Yusuke Mizoguchi will take the reins at Canon Australia, the company announced this morning.

Mizoguchi will take on the role of managing director, as well as chairperson of Canon New Zealand, from 1 April, the company said.

Mizoguchi replaces Taz Nakamasu, who has been promoted to executive officer at Canon Inc in Japan.

Kim Conner has been appointed as managing director for Canon New Zealand.

"It is with great honour that I take on the leadership of Managing Director, Canon Australia and Oceania," Mizoguchi, who is currently the managing director for Canon New Zealand, said in a statement.

"Everyone who works in the Canon Oceania region has tremendous respect for what Taz Nakamasu and his team have achieved during his tenure. I take on a business that is truly in great shape."
