Technology One acquires Digital Mapping Services for $12m

Technology One (ASX: TNE) has acquired Australian spatial data software firm Digital Mapping Services for $12 million.
Technology One will offer the software to its local and state government customers.
“DMS’s software allows for the storage and management of spatial data, which is critical for these sectors, and will play a role in delivering our enterprise software as a service to our customers on the TechnologyOne cloud,” a statement from the company said.
The acquisition will also allow it to embed spatial data with enterprise data such as property and assets.
In January Technology One announced an agreement to purchase ICON Strategic Solutions for $10 million. ICON provides ePlanning software for local and state government.
Technology One provides applications for a number of local councils including Tasmania’s Glenorchy Council, which recently announced it would be shifting its workloads from on-premise to the firm’s cloud service to improve staff mobility.
