In brief: Veritas appoints local MD

Louis Tague appointed managing director of Australia and New Zealand

Veritas Technologies has appointed Louis Tague to the role of managing director of Australia and New Zealand, the company announced today.

Tague was previously sales director at Veritas, and was employed at Symantec before Veritas was spun-off from the company.

Symantec last year sold the information management business to The Carlyle Group for US$8 billion.

“We are thrilled to have Louis lead our ANZ operations,” said Chris Lin, Veritas senior vice-president for Asia Pacific & Japan.

“With his focus on customer advocacy, strong experience in the financial services sector and proven track record, I’m confident he will be able to accelerate Veritas’ growth and expand our scale as the leading information management company that helps customers harness the power of their information.”
