e-business software vendor Agiliti has partnered with Intel Online Services to provide managed ASP (application service provider) hosting to global businesses.

Per the agreement, Intel Online Services, a subsidiary of chipmaker Intel, will host Agiliti's ASP application solutions by supplementing Agiliti's hosting centres in Minnesota with its Internet data centre locations in California, Virginia, Japan, Korea, Australia, and India.

According to Agiliti, the alliance will provide its customers with a single point of contact to access its more than 40 rentable services worldwide. Service is scheduled to begin in December.

Also, Agiliti has agreed to join Intel Online Services' strategic ASP alliance program. Intel has bolstered its hosting backbone by utilising Intel architecture-based hosting platforms running on Dell Computer servers, as well as Sun Microsystems-based systems.
