Australia's Ecorp Strikes Wireless Alliance

Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd.-owned Internet operation Ecorp Ltd. has formed a partnership with Nokia Australia for the delivery of wireless content services.

Representing the company's first foray into the emerging wireless space, content from Ecorp affiliates including ninemsn, eBay and Ticketek will be accessible from the Nokia 7110 phone using the Wireless Application Protocol.

"The move takes us toward of vision to supply content and services anywhere, anytime and on any device. Using the new Nokia WAP phones is the first step, The time when our customers will be accessing their favourite ninemsn , Ticketek or eBay content from the whole range of devices is not far away," said Ecorp executive chairman Daniel Petre.

Content available now on the Nokia 7110 include ninemsn news, entertainment, investment news, movie guide, horoscopes and eBay search, browse and bid features.

Services scheduled to come onlinenext month include ninemsn sport and TV guides and Ticketek browsing and online purchasing.
