Nokia 6720 classic mobile phone

As a replacement for the 6220 classic, Nokia's 6720 classic isn't a mobile phone that will get the heart racing with excitement. A faster processor, better battery life and a 3.5mm headphone jack are improvements over its predecessor, but the lack of a Xenon flash and camera lens cover are strange omissions.

LG Crystal (GD900) mobile phone

As its name suggests, LG's Crystal (GD900) is a fashion-oriented mobile phone. Featuring a unique, transparent "crystal" keypad, the LG Crystal tries hard to break from the stigma commonly associated with fashion phones — that they ultimately lack basic features. The LG Crystal's 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi capacitive touch screen and S-Class 3D user interface drive it in the right direction, but it ultimately suffers as yet another "dumb phone" label.

Nokia 6710 Navigator smartphone

The third iteration in Nokia's Navigator series of mobile phones, the 6710 Navigator is Nokia's best effort yet. The small screen will annoy many users, but the addition of a great zoom bar, a free lifetime subscription to the GPS maps and an excellent build quality make the latest Navigator worth a closer look.

Samsung NC10 netbook

A standard netbook with a pretty conventional design, Samsung's NC10 won't turn many heads, but its crowning feature is built-in 3G wireless broadband. Partnered with Optus, the Samsung NC10 becomes a handy road-warrior -- if you can live with the tiny touchpad.

Samsung Jet Icon mobile phone

Packing in a wealth of features including a brilliant AMOLED display, a 5-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi, its strange to think the Samsung Jet Icon isn't actually a smartphone. Though it lacks the ability to install third-party applications, the intuitive TouchWIZ interface and zippy performance make the Jet Icon a joy to use.

RIM BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone

Research in Motion is continuing its push towards consumer users — in addition to its traditional corporate customer base — with its latest BlackBerry Curve 8520 an inexpensive, entry-level smartphone. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 lacks 3G connectivity and has an average display but its optical trackpad is well implemented.

Sony Ericsson Satio smartphone

On paper, Sony Ericsson's Satio smartphone certainly looks impressive -- a whopping 12.1 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, a large 3.5in touch screen display and an interface that uses standby panels on the home screen to access commonly used applications. The Sony Ericsson Satio is a well equipped smartphone with a wealth of features, but it's lacking in a few key areas.

BenQ E2420HD LCD monitor

BenQ's E2420HD is a 24in, Full HD LCD monitor with dual HDMI ports, a 2ms response time and a stylish design.

HTC Snap smartphone

HTC's Snap smartphone sports a thin profile, a stylish matte black finish and an excellent QWERTY keyboard. It doesn't offer anything revolutionary, but it is a good choice if you aren't interested in a touch-screen smartphone.

Samsung Omnia Icon smartphone

Hot on the heels of the original Samsung Omnia i900 launched in 2008, Samsung is back with the Samsung Omnia Icon smartphone. Known as the Samsung Omnia II or the Samsung Omnia i8000 internationally, the Omnia Icon smartphone raises the bar with a massive AMOLED touch screen, a five-megapixel camera and juicy upgrades to Samsung's TouchWIZ interface.

Sony VAIO VGNP15GG notebook

Sony's latest P Series VAIO is described by the company as a "pocket style PC". It's quite possibly the sexiest, smallest and most stylish notebook we've ever laid eyes on. It's dubbed the "world’s lightest 8-inch notebook", and Sony is keen to state that, as its premium price tag suggests, the P Series VAIO isn't a netbook.

LG Viewty Smart (GC900f) mobile phone

Boasting an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and Schneider-Kreuznach lens, LG's Viewty Smart is the second mobile phone to feature LG's S-Class 3D user interface.

HP 2309m LCD monitor

HP's 2309m 23in LCD monitor has a Full HD resolution, an HDMI connection and built-in speakers, making it ideal for use as a gaming display. Although this monitor offers good clarity and colours, excessive glare from the glossy screen and bezel detracts from the overall user experience.

Motorola AURA mobile phone

It's a stunning piece of industrial design, and Motorola's AURA is also the world's first mobile phone with a circular display. Described as a "high-tier" mobile device, the AURA's feature aren't exactly premium — it's not even 3G-capable — but who cares when it looks this good, right?
