Lenovo ThinkCentre A62

Lenovo's ThinkCentre A62 mid-tower AMD-based desktop PC provides plenty of expansion, easy maintenance and enough power to complete intensive computing tasks such as video editing, in addition to everyday office tasks. It's a reasonably good value PC, but it does come with a lot of preloaded software, which will take some time to get rid of if you decide you don't need it.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 (A809) inkjet printer

With the Officejet Pro L7590 and the Officejet Pro K5400dn, HP proved that inkjets can compete with laser printers. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809 serves as yet another testament to this.

Fuji Xerox Phaser 3435DN mono laser printer

The Fuji Xerox Phaser 3435DN monochrome laser printer is fast and offers good security features, though the beige colour scheme will make it one of the drearier additions to your office.

HP Compaq dc5850 desktop PC

The HP Compaq dc5850 is a small form factor desktop PC for businesses. It has a tool-less chassis and uses standard PC components (bar its power supply), which makes maintenance easy. Its expansion options and appealing price tag (for a business PC) make the Compaq dc5850 a decent choice for offices.

Fuji Xerox DocuPrint C3300DX colour laser printer

The Fuji Xerox DocuPrint C3300DX colour laser printer offers decent performance at a reasonable price. Colour in documents sometimes suffers from inconsistencies, but its print speed, network capabilities and automatic duplex unit make it a big leap over its cheaper counterpart, the Fuji Xerox DocuPrint C2200.

AOC Verfino V22 LCD monitor

Rejecting the square lines and dreary bezels of its competitors, AOC has made heads turn once again with the bold and stylish Verfino V22 LCD monitor. The fashionable design is supported by good image quality and a well-implemented dynamic contrast function. This monitor is suitable for games, movies and general multimedia use.

New NBN proposal promises faster Internet for homes and businesses

The Federal Government this morning unveiled its plans for the National Broadband Network (NBN). Spanning eight years and projected to cost $43 billion with split ownership between the Australian government and private telcos, the network will provide 100 megabits per second (Mbps) Internet connections to 90 per cent of Australian homes.

Sony VAIO VGN-TT17GNX

Sony's VAIO VGN-TT17GNX ultraportable notebook doesn't offer much power for its exorbitant price tag, but it does deliver good portability, great battery life and the ability to play and burn Blu-ray discs.

HP Photosmart Premium C309a multifunction printer

HP packs more features into the Photosmart Premium C309a than you can poke a stick at. With premium pricing to match its moniker, this multifunction printer's core strength is its diverse range of abilities. Although it isn't the perfect photo printer, it will provide decent results for families and home offices.

ASUS VW225TL LCD monitor

ASUS doesn't offer anything particularly exciting with its 22in VW225TL LCD monitor, but it is adequate for use as a basic computer display.

Apple Mac Mini (2009)

It has been a year and a half since Apple updated its budget desktop line of Macs, but a new Mac Mini has finally been released.

Canon PIXMA MX860 multifunction printer

Providing great print quality and good features, the Canon PIXMA MX860 inkjet multifunction is a well-priced alternative to cheap laser multifunctions printers if you need to conduct low-volume printing. The only thing that stops it being truly competitive with laser multifunctions is its print speed.

Brother MFC-250C multifunction printer

Brother's MFC-250C multifunction printer is cheap as chips and serves up decent quality photo prints. We would have liked it to print a bit faster, but this multifunction is still a good buy for those who only need the basics.

Fuji Xerox DocuPrint C2200

Fuji Xerox's DocuPrint C2200 colour laser printer offers better print speeds and quality compared to low-end colour lasers, but its price we would have liked to see some more features included as standard.
