Mandurah is approximately 72km south of Perth, and was traditional known as a holiday community for retirees. It is the second largest city in Western Australia.
The capital of Western Australia, Perth was one of the first areas in Western Australia to receive the NBN, as part of the second release sites on the Australian mainland.
Mandurah is one of 14 second release sites planned for the mainland. Announced on 8 July 2010 by NBN Co, construction is set to begin in the second quarter of 2011 for 3,000 premises.
